Panda Internet Security 2009 beta version launched
Category: Internet Security
Panda Security has unveiled the beta version of its new software package to carry out tests before its launch after the summer.
The firm will release Panda Internet Security 2009 on its website, with beta testers who report incidents receiving a discount on the final version of the software.
Panda Internet Security 2009 will incorporate 'collective intelligence' technology, which uses a collection of malware information to identify threats to a system.
Other features include 'identity protect' to detect attempts to steal personal data from the user, while TruPrevent 2.0 has improved malware detection technology.
According to the firm, Panda Internet Security 2009 has been designed to offer security with a focus on data protection and anti-malware, with a minimum impact on the performance of the system.
Dominic Hoskins, country manager at Panda Security UK, commented: "We have been developing our new product lineup with a constant analysis of the current malware landscape, and we are confident that our new 2009 security product is the most effective security technology available on the market."
Earlier this year, Panda Security offered free assessments to computer users, as part of its Infected or Not malware campaign.
