Email marketing 'a key promotional tool for business promotions'

Email marketing is one of the key promotional tools available to businesses, according to new research.
A recent study by Direct Magazine found that 70 per cent of marketers now use the format to communicate with consumers, which is a ten per cent rise on figures from last year.
It was found that over two-thirds of professionals also use email in conjunction with direct mail in order to reach a higher number of people.
Meenakshi Wali, business development head and co-founder of Rupiz Xpress, said: "Email marketing, far from being a spent force, has yet again reinforced its utility as an important marketing device.
"It is all set to further grow in terms of influence in marketing."
Recent research by the Economic Intelligence Unit found that email and the web are the most preferred communication channels available to businesses.
It was also found that the two formats are also set to hold the position for the next five years.
