Web Hosting Services Group, TriZetto, Enhances to .NET Framework

Web hosting services provider, the TriZetto Group, Inc., now has a limited availability release of its QicLink Extended Enterprise 4.0 for the benefits administration market, including a technology platform change from a Unix system to the Microsoft.NET connected framework.

This provides access to MS SQL Server relational database functionality and the rapid development and deployment tools afforded by the .NET technology platform. The new release also features new, user-friendly screen views and more intuitive methodologies for plan building and customer service. TriZetto has already completed its first successful implementation of QicLink Extended Enterprise 4.0 in a live client environment through its Naperville, Ill.,-based business process outsourcing group which supports the healthcare benefits administration market.

The implementation of the release that transitioned a 9,000 member group from Unix-based QicLink to the new .NET technology platform was smooth and completed in one day. Carol Shaler, manager, business support services for TriZetto who oversaw the conversion noted: "There was minimal impact on our end users, and that is the best possible outcome for a conversion situation.
