Web Hosting Company Memset Recognized for Environmental Initiatives

Web hosting company Memset (http://www.memset.com) has been recognized for its environmental initiatives, it was reported yesterday. The company received the Guildford Green Award at the annual 2007/2008 Guildford Life with Style Awards. Sponsored by Surrey Research Park and University of Surrey, the Guildford Green Awards ceremony took place at The Guildford Guildhall last month. Memset was also runner-up in the Innovative Enterprise of the Year category.
Memset’s has made major investments in energy-saving technologies and, according to the company, became the first carbon neutral ISP in 2006. The company also initiated a scheme to get staff to travel to and from work on electric bikes.
